About the Precor TRM® 885 Treadmill
The Precor TRM® 885 is a commercial-grade treadmill designed for homeowners who want the biomechanics, power, and durability found in high-end fitness facilities, paired with a more immersive console experience.
Built on Precor’s TRM 800 platform, the 885 delivers smooth belt performance, responsive incline control, and a natural running feel that supports everything from interval training to endurance sessions. It is commonly selected for premium home gyms and shared residential fitness spaces where long-term reliability and user engagement are priorities.
Integrated Footplant Technology™
At the core of the TRM 885 is Precor’s patented Integrated Footplant Technology™ (IFT™). Unlike traditional treadmills that operate at a constant belt speed, IFT™ recognizes the exerciser’s natural foot speed and adjusts belt acceleration and deceleration accordingly.
The result is a smoother, more natural stride that closely replicates outdoor running mechanics. This responsive design enhances comfort and control, particularly during speed changes and interval-based training.
Ground Effects® Impact Control System
Precor’s patented Ground Effects® Impact Control System (GFX) provides a balanced combination of cushioning and firmness. The deck absorbs more impact at the front of the stride where the foot lands, while maintaining a firmer surface at push-off for stability and efficiency.
This design reduces joint stress without sacrificing performance responsiveness, making it well suited for consistent training over time.

The TRM 885 is powered by a high-efficiency AC motor capable of 4 HP continuous operation with 8 HP peak output. Power Factor Correction (PFC) technology improves energy efficiency while supporting consistent performance under load.

Elevation range: -3% to 15% incline in 0.5% increments
This range supports a wide variety of training styles, including interval sessions, hill conditioning, endurance runs, and decline training.
GEN-3 P84 Touchscreen Console
The TRM 885 is equipped with Precor’s GEN-3 P84 console, a 16-inch high-definition capacitive touchscreen designed for users who value visual clarity, structured programming, and integrated entertainment.
The P84 provides access to guided workout programs along with streaming content and wireless casting via PrecorCast™. Users can access a wide range of third-party fitness and media apps directly on the console, including built-in options such as YouTube, Netflix, and PlutoTV. Apple Watch® and Samsung Galaxy Watch® compatibility further enhance workout tracking and engagement.
Designed for Long-Term Ownership
Practical design details support long-term ownership and ease of care. The streamlined frame and covered components simplify cleaning, while the Active Status Light provides a visible indicator when service or maintenance is needed.
